Creating a call to action in Joomla is actually very, very simple .

There is a couple of things that you're going to need to do this .

First, you're going to need your image .

For example, if you wanted to create this call to action, you could create - I don't know - in Photoshop, you could create it in paint, if you really needed to, but you're going to want to create that custom image .

And then what you can do is take the URL of that landing page that the CTA is directing that person to .

Here it would be the landing page for the free e-book, and you are going to hyperlink that image within a module .

Then you're going to want to choose the best position for your module on your site .

What pages do you want to have this module displaying on? You're going to want to assign it to those pages .

Also, what position do you want to have it on? Do you want to have it on the sidebar? Do you want to have it down near the bottom? Wherever it may be, of course, it depends on your template what those available areas are going to be .

But choose where, what pages, and also what sections of the pages those CTAs are most relevant on .

Another thing to keep in mind, aside from CTAs that display every time someone loads the page, is CTAs that go in the bottom of your blog .

So, remember, maybe on your blog you write a blog post about SEO for Joomla sites .

And then you have a premium content download about the essentials of every great Joomla site, and you want to link a CTA at the bottom of that blog post to that landing page for that e-book .

So what you can do is create a module and then just embed that module at the bottom of that specific blog post .

So as opposed to making that module display on every blog post, you can just take the module ID - so let's say it's module 177 - and just insert that at the very bottom of your blog post .

Whether you're using ZOO, or K2, or whatever it may be, insert it at the bottom of that item and then it will show up just in that specific blog post where it is relevant to the content that that person is reading about. So that's just a really quick recap of how you can create and use a CTA in Joomla .

If you have any questions about it feel free to give us a shout, because we do this all the time .

Once you get the hang of it, it's a very, very simple process .

You just create a custom HTML module, hyperlink it, bang, you're good to go .
